Everyone will have an "outfit" object or two to represent the clothing their character owns. If you would like to submit individual items, feel free to do so, keeping in mind the guidelines at themistyisle.boards.net/thread/22/items-item-descriptions. For now, you can submit them using PETITION ALL, and I will update this post when ITEMSKIN is available.
Tier 1 through 3 characters will be set up with weapons and armour appropriate to the character type, and will also receive an income once a fortnight as appropriate.
Tier 4 characters, if they are primarily adventurers or mercenaries, may request up to 800d worth of equipment, using the prices listed at themistyisle.boards.net/thread/34/weapons-armour-price-list. Use PETITION ALL for this.
Tier 4 characters who are more socially oriented will receive a passive social capital income instead, given fortnightly.
Keep in mind that all day-to-day items, such as household goods and most tools, can be assumed to be owned, as well as food and drink. Any accommodation costs are also covered. Your characters' background income covers, and is taken up by, such expenses.
While some items are marked as chivalric, meaning they are restricted by social custom, in HarnMaster, that is not a concern for the vast majority of PCs, who are mostly either powerful figures or else travellers through different places. These customs are only really enforced on local residents who don't have a sufficiently influential employer.
